IBM Informix 11.70 FC5 is now released

IBM just released the new fixpack of Informix 11.70. The fixpack name is 11.70 xC5

Along with a number of bug fixes, here is the what’s new section of the release notes:

  • Improvement to the keyword analyzer for basic text searching
  • Unrestricted length of SQL statements
  • Enhanced query performance
  • The Change Data Capture API sample program
• Enterprise replication
  • Replication errors on leaf nodes
• Global language support
  • New ifx_gl_complen() function
• Time Series data
  • Count the time-series elements that match expression criteria
  • Remove old time-series data from containers
  • New operators for aggregating across time-series value

Please also note that the delivered package now contains the Informix drivers for ruby, python, php, odbc, jdbc and clpplus. Those drivers can be installed thru a simple and straight forward install script.
